Minimalism

Minimalism is an art tendency that emerged in North America in the 1950s and 60s. Minimalist artists use geometrical shapes and primary colours, and do not seek to represent things in the real world. Instead, minimalists focus on colour and material, creating pure, simple compositions, devoid of figurative elements. While not necessarily aligned with that trend, the covers of these books echo minimalism in their use of a limited palette and plain lettering.
